Managing multiple medications is no easy task. With all the different instructions and potential side effects it’s hard to know if the medications you take on a daily basis are working as well as they should. There is a way to make sure you´re getting the most from your medications. Leon pharmacy has a free Meds Check program that allows you to schedule a 20 to 30 minute one-to-one meeting with the pharmacist to ensure that you are safely and appropriately using all types of medication.

Medication Shouldn't Be Confusing

MedsCheck is a program that allows you to schedule a 20 to 30 minute one-to-one meeting with your community pharmacist to ensure that you are safely and appropriately using all types of medication. Think of it as a comprehensive medication review. And it´s free! Just bring your OHIP card. The MedsCheck appointment is your chance to discuss how your prescription, over-the-counter and alternative medications may be affecting each other.

MedsChecks are available seven days a week we schedule at your convenience.
Home visits are also provided to patients with mobility issues that may prevent them from coming into our store.

During the
one-on-one meeting

During this one-on-one meeting, you will have an opportunity to learn about your medications and medical condition(s). As part of this service you will benefit by:

Gaining better understanding of drug names, strengths, adverse effects and usage instructions. This may include over-the-counter and/or herbal medications. Understanding the benefit of taking your medications as your Doctor has directed.

Investigating strategies to manage any adverse effects or issues surrounding the medications you take.

Discussing other resources available to educate you and support your continued good health.

Designed with your better health in mind – this MedsCheck allows you the opportunity to be an active partner with your Doctor and your Pharmacist, by keeping you informed about your medications and medical condition(s). Together with your Doctor and Pharmacist, it is important to take an active role in managing your health.

Your medication should be reviewed regularly with your Pharmacist. Consider meeting at least once a year for a MedsCheck. If you feel you need support regarding your medication, at any time, your Pharmacist is available to help.
